Launching Boise's Creative Platform

Boise Design Week debuted with Lecture Series 01: LAUNCH, a one-night event bringing together designers, agencies, and creatives to hear four speakers share recent work and thinking. With one month to build awareness and drive attendance, the campaign introduced a new brand to Boise's creative community.

The Brief



Boise Design Week was preparing to host its first public event and needed to generate awareness, establish credibility, and drive attendance within a tight one-month promotional window. The goal was to introduce a new creative platform, connect designers across disciplines, and ensure a strong debut for the Lecture Series & first speakers.

Challenge



A brand-new platform entering a competitive events landscape with limited time and no existing audience. The goal was not just attendance, but establishing credibility and momentum for a long-term creative community initiative.

Approach

We framed the event as a platform for recognition and connection, not just another lecture series. Direct engagement with agencies, studios, and individual designers built partnerships and created a sense of ownership within the community.

The visual identity felt clean, editorial, and event-forward. We collaborated with motion designers and apparel designers to extend the brand experience across every touchpoint.

Social storytelling focused on speakers, process, and creative thinking, driving newsletter signups to build a long-term audience beyond the single event.

Results

Beyond the numbers, the event created strong buzz within Boise's creative community and established early credibility that carried into future programming.
