BOISE FASHION WEEK
Boise Fashion Week is a start-up non-profit organization that is about fostering a supportive community for fashion enthusiasts and aspiring designers. The event provides a platform for emerging talent to showcase their work, gain valuable exposure, and network with industry insiders.

The Challenge
Launching a startup is demanding. Crafting a distinct brand, targeting the right audience, and managing a team, often while wearing multiple hats, requires strategic planning and execution. It’s important to establish a strong brand identity in the early days.
Creative Direction
When creating the brand concept, the aim was to create a timeless and clean look for future years to come. I wanted the feel to be inclusive and be seen as an industry standard. Looking at timeless luxury branding for inspiration, I landed on simplicity and a high-contrast style.
It became clear to the team that Boise Fashion Week should be inspired by other fashion weeks which led to the black and white coloring. I went with a classic font Roboto to stand out from other outdated serif-type logos and branding that other fashion weeks choose to use.
Design & Strategy Process
In conceptualizing the design and marketing strategy for Boise Fashion Week, my approach centers on creating a seamless fusion of innovation and elegance. The first step involves meticulous research to understand Boise's unique cultural and fashion landscape, allowing us to tailor the branding to resonate with the local community. Collaborating with local models and designers will infuse authenticity into our show, celebrating Boise's distinct style.
The marketing strategy prioritized a multi-channel approach, leveraging social media, traditional advertising, and community partnerships to generate buzz and engagement. By emphasizing inclusivity and diversity in our campaigns, we aim to connect with a broad audience while reflecting the eclectic spirit of Boise. The runway shows not only showcase stunning garments but also tell a compelling story, fostering a deeper connection between the audience and the brand. This holistic approach aims to position Boise Fashion Week as a beacon of creativity and a must-attend event, both locally and beyond.

I dove into unique selling points, aligned offerings with the target audience, and established a nimble team structure. I also used modern tools to ease multitasking. By emphasizing brand identity, audience alignment, and team synergy from the start, the startup is set for resilient growth and success.
